In the Path of St. John of God
The Provinces of Our Lady Queen of the Angeles and the North American Province of the Good Shepherd sponsored co-workers to attend a School of Hospitality Seminar in Granada, Spain. This is a collaborative experience initiated by the Brothers of the North American Province to inspire and educate our co-workers in the Mission and Values of the Order but most of all for becoming familiar with the birth place of the Order. They will get a more in-depth look at St. John of God and his early works in the beginning of the Order in 1550.
Four co-workers of this Province attended who were America Escamilla, from Dietary Service who has been with St. John of God Retirement and Care Center for over 25 years. Christine Degoma, of Accounts Payable, Dana Axelrod, Program Counselor, and Joseph Rivera, the Director of Environmental Services, all attended this emersion experience of St. John of God.
Each co-worker was moved by the experience and was grateful for the opportunity to visit and experience the birth place of Order.
