St. John Grande Reopens its Doors!

| 2015-06-12

The ribbon-cutting reopening ceremony was held on June 3rd, 2015 with the presence of Most Reverend Edward Clark, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, the Brothers, coworkers, residents, benefactors and community leaders.

In our continuing effort to provide a better service, St. John of God Retirement & Care Center is pleased to reopen, St. John Grande Assisted Living Community, for the elderly requiring assisted living services. After a year of renovations, this building is now a completely remodeled and upgraded facility that will offer an excellent service to our future residents.

St. John Grande includes 51 luxury apartments for residents with tasteful decorations and finishes. The new facility was thoughtfully decorated with new flooring and wall finishing giving the building a contemporary and stylish atmosphere. Additional offices, a nursing station, gym and storage facilities were added in the existing structure. It also comes with a Wi-Fi system, new air conditioning units and has a new electric and plumbing system.

In addition to the internal improvements, the building comes with beautiful surroundings. The peaceful gardens and walkways give our residents the sense of life in an oasis of nature and tranquility within the Los Angeles City.

The Hospitaller Foundation of California was a very important financial supporter in carrying this project to completion. We are in gratitude to our incredible benefactors for making this building a reality. We thank you for your generosity and support! This new facility will allow us to continue our mission of hospitality by constantly improving the quality of life and health of the people we serve.

This was a happy and wonderful way to celebrate the feast day of St. John Grande.
